Adele's Story

Adele Nesci is a Hair and Beauty stylist at Erin Morgan Hair in Subiaco. This is her reflection on a madcap week spent in Bangladesh in January:
"I’ve spent a lot of time travelling the world and living abroad but the week I spent with Jen and Debra in Bangladesh was by far the most life enriching adventure I’ve been on! From the moment you arrive in Bangladesh you are overwhelmed - the smells, the sounds, but mostly the amount of people crammed into such a small space! 
 
Once we arrived at the Symbiosis Training Centre, we were welcomed with enormous smiles and even tears when the girls saw Jen! 
 
The training centre is seriously amazing! I was in absolute awe at what has been achieved over the years and the amount of girls/women who have completed the Hair and Beauty course!
I spent the week mainly up-skilling the parlour staff! We focused on manicures, pedicures, basin skills, blow-drys and facials! I am still in awe at how quickly the girls could re-create exactly what I was showing them and how utterly grateful they were to have the opportunity! 

I was also lucky enough to help set up the new parlour and attend the grand opening! The parlour is incredible and I’m so excited for it to grow into a thriving business!
 
I am truly grateful that I was able to be apart of the Empoweraid journey and I can’t wait to go again!"
