The Justice Conference
The last weekend in October saw Jennifer and Robyn head to Melbourne for The Justice Conference, hosted by Tear. The Justice Conference is a global movement which aims to encourage and equip people who hear from leading theologians, practitioners and artists.
This was a great professional development opportunity as we heard from a range of speakers from different nations and areas of practice about their views on sustainable, development that honours the dignity of all people. We were encouraged, inspired and challenged over the two days, as well as affirmed that our core values align well with current best practice.
If anyone would like a copy of these, please email us and we will be happy to send them out. The following quote says it in a nutshell:
"Development is the process of ongoing change that moves all the people involved - both "helpers" and the "helped" - closer to being in right relationship with God, self, others and the rest of creation; this is not done to or for people but with people."
