Training and Assessing in Kununurra!

With Jen looking after the store, Bianca was able to join up with Debbie from Halls Creek in Kununurra for a week of intense revision and upskilling with Jennifer Quartermaine and Jonelle Rafols. This prepared them for the challenge of assessment week - here's a few thoughts from Jennifer regarding the time in Kununurra...

The whole experience was a very collaborative one.

We are indebted to Jenny Croot who so generously gave us the opportunity to do the  training and assessing in her salon, This lovely business owner and her staff were so generous in sharing their professonial space with us, and it was a great experience for us trainers to be working in such a vibrant and happening business.
The salon staff were highly professional and welcoming to both their regular salon clients as well as the models, and somehow managed to work around the extra four bodies and the never ending stream of models invading their salon without losing their cool. Joyce Routledge the Indigenous Business support worker was available for support at a moments notice, and the local media came in for a bit of a camera frenzy. It was great to see indigenous ladies coming in, some of whom would never normally attend a salon, and being trimmed, bleached, foiled and, most of all, pampered. Thanks Kununurra... you were awesome!
